As a company and as individuals, we have been deeply shocked by the horrific incidents of violence against women earlier this week, in particular, the brutal murder of Ms. Noor Mukaddam in Islamabad.
We extend our most sincere condolences to the bereaved family and to all those others who have suffered such irreparable loss.
Please know that we condemn not only this incident but all other similar and senseless acts of violence and grieve along with you.
During the last few days, there has been a lot of unverified reporting, and uncalled for accusations made about AJCL Private Limited and the brand AJCL by the public at large.
We can unequivocally state that the accused has nothing to do with AJCL Private Limited, which was setup by an independent branch of the Jaffer family more than a decade ago and that he has never held any employment, neither had any shareholding or directorship, nor any other type of ownership interest with the company.
In fact, AJCL itself has no links to any other mentioned entity either and has published a disclaimer on its official website, www.ajcl.net, for several years which disassociates itself from other companies of similar names or abbreviations, as well as from other companies owned by various family members. What cannot be disassociated from is our family link to this tragedy, which is undeniable, but we request you to not judge us all by the horrific actions of one.
We deeply regret the tragic loss of life and hope that this appalling act brings us all together to condemn violence against women, honor killings, hate crimes and other such barbaric acts so that further innocents do not suffer.
With our deepest prayers and heartfelt condolences, AJCL Private Limited.
